Notes and Limitations

  1. The Sentences counter won't be accurate if a sentence contains acronyms or names with periods. For instance, "J. D. Johnson" will count as three sentences. "J.D. Johnson" will count as two. Other counters are unaffected.
  2. Any text that is not separated by a space is counted as a word.
  3. Character count includes spaces.
  4. A paragraph is a block of text. Paragraphs are separated by line breaks.
